Winzig Lodge is a boutique lodging property in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, offering five private nightly-rental accommodations. Guests can choose from two Balcony Suites, two Top-Floor Studios, and one Two-Bedroom Townhouse.

Winzig Lodge was inspired by our family's years living and traveling in Europe. Even the name reflects that influence: “Winzig,” pronounced “Vin-zig,” means “tiny” in German.

Winzig Lodge is located in on the corner of 400 W and Main St. in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, shops, the famous mineral hot pools, and many of the area's attractions.

Winzig Lodge offers five accommodations for nightly rental:

• Two Balcony Suites
• Two Top-Floor Studios
• One Two-Bedroom Townhouse

The overall property contains 10 units, but the remaining units are either long-term residences or reserved for private family use.

Winzig Lodge offers three styles of nightly accommodation.

The two Balcony Suites each feature a king bed and a sofa sleeper. Sleeps 2-4 people.

The two Top-Floor Studios each feature a king bed plus two 3-inch-thick sleeping mats. Sheets, blankets, and pillows are provided for the sleeping mats. Sleeps 2-4 people.

The Two-Bedroom Townhouse provides additional space for families, friends, and small groups with a king bed in the master, a queen bed in the top floor guest room accompanied by a twin over a double bunk bed with a trundle. Both bedrooms have additional sleeping mats with bedding. Sleeps 8 to 10 people.

Yes. All of our nightly-rental accommodations include a king-size bed.

Yes. Each Winzig Lodge accommodation includes either a European-style kitchenette or a full-size kitchen, depending on the unit.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Checkout is by 11:00 AM.

Winzig Lodge uses a self-service check-in system, so there is no need to visit a front desk when you arrive. Please call if you need to change your arrival or departure times.

No. Winzig Lodge operates using a European-style self-service lodging concept.

Before arrival, guests receive a text message with check-in instructions, driving directions, a personalized door access code, house guidelines, and local recommendations.

Winzig Lodge uses keyless entry.

Before your arrival, you will receive your personalized access information by text. Your door code allows you to enter your accommodation without checking in at a front desk or picking up a physical key.

Our current cancellation policy is:

• Cancel 7 or more days before arrival: 100% refund
• Cancel within 7 days of arrival: 50% refund
• Day-of-arrival cancellation or no-show: no refund

 When booking direct “travel protection plan” maybe purchased, additional terms may apply.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due three days before arrival.

Yes. Complimentary on-site parking is included with your reservation.

One parking space is provided per reservation. Two vehicles may use that space if both vehicles fit entirely within the space provided. Additional street parking may also be available.

Yes. Winzig Lodge offers free high-speed fiber internet service for guests.

Pets are permitted only in our designated pet-friendly ADA-accessible unit, Unit 5.

Pets are not permitted in the other accommodations. If you are traveling with a pet, please make sure you reserve the appropriate unit.

Yes. All indoor areas at Winzig Lodge are completely smoke-free and vape-free.

Smoking or vaping inside the building is not permitted.

No. Daily housekeeping is not provided.

Each accommodation is thoroughly prepared before arrival and stocked with fresh towels and linens. If you need additional supplies during your stay, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Yes. Quiet hours are observed daily from 10:30 PM until 8:00 AM.

Our Balcony Suites can also accommodate additional guests using the sofa sleeper, while the Top-Floor Studios provide two sleeping mats in addition to the king bed.

The top floor studios and the townhouse do require stair access.

Each Top-Floor Studio includes one king-size bed and two 3-inch-thick sleeping mats.

We provide sheets, blankets, and pillows for the sleeping mats. The mats are designed as additional sleeping accommodations and are not traditional beds.

A car is useful if you plan to explore destinations outside of town, but many of Lava Hot Springs' downtown attractions are within walking distance of Winzig Lodge.

Guests who mainly plan to enjoy the hot pools, restaurants, shopping, and downtown attractions may find they use their vehicle very little during their stay.
